Acclaimed conductor Thibaut has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donor. After learning that he was adopted, he finds an older brother, a musician and a factory worker. Their union leads to a brotherly and musical journey, following the closure of the town Muzika B.V. Director Emmanuel Courcol masterfully creates a bittersweet comedy that flows effortlessly, just like the music itself. The plot is simple: two brothers separated at birth meet again as adults. One is a famous conductor and the other is a chef. First, music represents a prosperous career; on the other, it is a hard-won and sustained passion in a desolate village in northern France. Despite their contrasting lives, their shared love of music creates an unbreakable bond. Music, with its universal language, unites and breaks down barriers between individuals. The film also conveys a poignant message of empathy, solidarity and brotherhood – a message that seems more vital today than ever.
